Eurogym, Coimbra, POR July 15-19, 2012
MS and RV present a very positive report regarding the UEG GfA event, Eurogym that took place
in Coimbra, POR from 15-19 July. There were 4.000 participants representing 23 National
Federations.
EC meeting London, GBR August 5-7, 2012
MSA presents a report regarding the major issues of the EC meeting emphasising the very positive
reaction in relation to the GfA activity report and the clear support to the FIG GfA Colloquium 2012.
5. Events
World Gymnaestrada Helsinki 2015
- Bulletin 1
The GfA Committee analyses the LOC proposal for the Bulletin 1 and suggest some corrections.
MSA will contact the LOC and be responsible for the follow up of this matter.
World Gymnaestrada 2019
- Bidding process
Until this moment no bid proposal has been received in the FIG office. The Committee underlines
the need to inform again the National Federations in respect of this bidding process.
World Gym for Life Challenge 2013
- Newsletter 2
The Newsletter 2 should to be prepared for distribution to the National Federations in November.
MS is assigned to collect a list of all headlines that need to be included in the Newsletter 2.
- Joint meeting 2013
Accordingly to the organisation plan, some FIG GfA Committee members will take part in a Joint
Meeting with the LOC, in Cape Town 7-10 February 2013.
- Preparation
The Committee discuss a requirement from the Swiss Gymnastics Federation concerning a larger
number of some specific apparatus and it is decided to support this request. MSA will contact the
LOC in order to guarantee the necessary update in the apparatus list.
- Marketing
Having the pre-registration national federation list as reference it is decided to insist with the LOC
to increase the promotion of the event.
The Committee is pleased with the latest update of the event website.
World Gym for Life Challenge 2017
- Invitation
The official invitation is planned to be published and distributed to the National Federations in July
2014.
6. Education
Join the Gymnaestrada courses 2012 - 2014
Following the contacts with the GfA responsible persons in each Continental Gymnastic Union, the
Join the Gymnaestrada course to be organised in Asia is foreseen for the end of October 2013 and
the course to be organised in PAGU area is foreseen for 6-9 February, 2014.
