Examination Principles
- No retest of the theory exam will be allowed because there will be many exam questions
published on the FIG website prior to the course therefore, judges will have the possibility
to prepare for the theory exam.
- 60% of the Theory exam will be Calculation of the Difficulty score.

2012 Intercontinental Course
- Each country will be permitted to send a maximum of four (4) judges to the Intercontinental
course. Judges with minimum Category III will be allowed.
- Priority should first be given to Category I Judges and then to Category II Judges.
- No limit will be placed on the number of judges awarded Category I, but only the highest
two ranked judges from the same federation, will be eligible to be selected for the D - Panel
at World Championships and Olympic Games.

5.1 Technical Directives
Reconfirmed:
The ideal tuck and pike positions should be shown for at least one moment of the salto;
(not the entire salto), or dance element.
Tuck position becomes pike when there is knee angle 135°or more.
Dance Positions in Jumps, Hops and Leaps with or without turn will be considered Tuck or
Pike until the hip angle is open more than 135°.
Application of deductions for Side Leap (insufficient split) and Johnson Leap ­ 0.10/0.30
for legs at/or below horizontal. If necessary - 0.10 for legs not parallel.
In leaps with split position there may be deduction for Insufficient split, but no deduction
for "Incorrect legs position".
Elements with twists must be completed exactly or another element from the COP will be
recognized.
For recognition of Saltos with Twists - The Principles of the Exactness of the turn
completion remains.
No devaluation for double salto with LA turns (BB and FX) and UB DMT
No devaluation for salto with LA turn performed on BB.
Recognition of DV
Yang Bo: due to technical requirement failure, element will have no devaluation; it will
become new element Split Jump with Ring (2.308).
Stag position will not make an element different ­ therefore stag jump and split jump will be
considered the same; stag ring jump and ring jump will be the same elements. Stag jump
and stag ring jump may not fulfill 180° split requirement.
For recognition of Ring Leap/Ring jump; back leg must be bent, straight leg is not
acceptable.
Sheep Jump
o "Ring Shape" ­ it is not compulsory to touch head with feet.
o The toes slightly above the highest part of head/ forehead- credit DV.
o Feet at head level ­ credit one DV lower (C)
o Feet below head level ­ No DV
