Norbert Bueche announced that USA was withdrawing their proposals. ARG have withdrawn their
proposals 1 and 2. The Executive Committee is of the opinion that coaches must have attended
Academy courses. He asked ARG whether they were withdrawing the proposal discussed earlier.
ARG withdrew their proposal but asked how many people had obtained level 3.
Norbert thanked ARG. Slava Corn, in charge of the Academies, will answer ARG in private.
Before leaving the meeting, Bruno Grandi returned to what had been said earlier about the
requirements for candidates to TC positions. We need well trained people; judges must have
opportunities to train. A training program for judges will soon be available. To be in good standing,
the TCs of Continental Unions will soon have the chance to attend an Academy level-3 course.
The President has invited the Marketing Commission to find ways for encouraging candidatures for
our events. He then thanked all the people who had strived to make this Congress a success. He
especially thanked the FIG staff for their good work and availability.
In turn Michel Léglise thanked Bruno Grandi for assuming the role of an orchestra conductor in the
past days! He congratulated the President for receiving the Fair Play Prize in ITA. In the absence
of the President, Michel Léglise will lead the debates.
Further to several early departures, the Secretary General asked the assembly to authorize Bob
Colarossi and Georges Guelzec to vote respectively for USA and FRA.
Decision: Tacit approval
At the request of the members of the Statutes Commission, André Gueisbuhler asked the
delegates to approve by a formal vote all the changes decided under Item 11.
Decision: The decisions were approved by 171 votes in favor, 6 against, and 11
abstentions.
12. HONORARY AWARDS
The Secretary General informed that no honorary awards would be given this year.
