· Mr Gao Jian (CHN) has resigned from his position within the Council. Since the statutory
elections will take place next year in Cancun (MEX), the Council approved the proposal of the
Executive Committee not to nominate a new member.
· Aerobic Gymnastics has now two new sports activities with the Aerobic Dance and the Aerobic
Step. Both activities will be introduced as demonstration sport at the 2011 Universiade in
Shenzhen (CHN) and will be part of the official programme of Aerobic Gymnastics at the 2013
World Games in Cali (COL).
· The Council members unanimously approved the accounts 2010 and the budget for 2012.
· Following federations have been suspended for financial breaches or disciplinary sanctions:
COM ­ LES ­ MKD ­ PAR ­ PRK ­ SEY ­ YEM.
· Provisional admissions are decided for the federations of BRN and CAM. Final decision
belongs to the General Assembly in its meeting in Cancun (MEX) in 2012.
· The federations of COM and LES have been excluded for non-respect of their financial
obligations.
· The Council has decided to open bids for World Championships and assign them six years in
advance instead of four.
· Since the African Gymnastics Union did not bid, the 12

FIG Council will take place in St
Petersburg (RUS) on May 18 ­ 19, 2012.
· Following world championships have been assigned by the Council:
o
2015 Rhythmic Gymnastics ­ GER ­ City of Stuttgart;
o
2015 Trampoline Gymnastics ­ DEN ­ City of Odense;
o
2015 Artistic Gymnastics ­ GBR ­ City of Glasgow
· A delegation from the Japanese Gymnastics Association and different personalities, Mr Hiroshi
Inomata, Consul General of Japan in San Francisco, Naoyoshi Yamada, JTA, Minisitry of
Land. Infrastructure Transport and Tourism, Satoshsi Ashidate, Ministry of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology, Masato Mizuno, vice President of the JPN NOC and Hiroshi
Sato, vice Governor of Tokyo informed the Council members about the situation in the country
after the earthquake and the nuclear accident in Fukushima. Since no travel bans have been
identified, the 43

Artistic Gymnastics World Championships will take place in October as
scheduled.
