FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE GYMNASTIQUE
Due to the international economical situation, the number of registered participants decreased a
little. With the conclusion of the final payments some more adjustments are expected.
Schedule
The general schedule of the event has no major changes. The group performance schedule will be
developed in the following weeks.
Corrections in the Large Groups schedule were done following some National Federation remarks.
Logistics
The schedule and the menu for all meals are now fixed. The school accommodation distribution
among the different National Federations had to be adapted due to the variations on the
registration numbers from several countries.
Opening/Closing
RS presents an updated report regarding the preparation work for the Opening and Closing
Ceremonies.
During the Closing Ceremony, the World Gymnaestrada 2015 will welcome everyone to the 2015
event by a 10 minutes performance.
Performance, Venues and Apparatus
The Beaulieu south halls rebuilding are expected to be finished accordingly to the plan and will be
ready for the World Gymnaestrada.
The Committee reconfirms the number of halls were a tumbling track will be available.
National Evenings
RV presents a report concerning the National Evenings preparation.
All major technical details are being deal by the Federations and the OC.
FIG Gala
FK presents a report regarding the preparation work carried out by the FIG Gala working group.
Educational Forum
MS presents a report regarding the Educational Forum preparation work.
It is foreseen to have 40 presentations, 31 practical and 9 theoretical. From some presentations
more detailed information is needed.
The Conference is also under preparation. At the moment the lectures are invited and the OC is
waiting for the final confirmation.
Expert group
The 14
th
World Gymnaestrada Evaluation Expert group will be coordinated by Ms. Jane Meckbach
(SWE) and will include Tas Evans (NZL), Matt Connell (GBR) and Jérôme Hübscher (SUI).
The Committee discuss the Evaluation Expert group mandate and the main goals to be achieved.
Evaluation
RV and RS had a meeting with the FIG IT department and discussed the possibilities and
necessary steps in order to make it possible to answer the evaluation forms online on the FIG
website.
The Committee discuss the questions to be included in the Head of Delegations and Group
Leader's questionnaire forms.
The final evaluation meeting will be held in Helsinki (FIN) 27-30 October 2011. In this meeting it is
foreseen that both OC's participate together with the GfA committee.
