The Executive Committee unanimously decided to lodge an appeal against the decision of
the FIG Disciplinary Commission concerning the apparatus manufacturer Gymnova. The
Executive Committee is of the opinion, that the sanctions imposed by the Disciplinary
Commission were too lenient.
ˇ
The organisers and candidates of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup tournaments of
the A category are invited to attend a meeting in Zurich (SUI), on Jun 20, 2011 to discuss
the 2012 World Rules.
ˇ
Concerning the 2011 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Tokyo in
October, the Executive Committee discussed the situation in Japan following the
earthquake and the nuclear catastrophy in Fukushima. It reviewed official information from
the World Health Organisation and various governments. No travel bans to Japan have
been identified at this time. It will inform the Council accordingly.

On Saturday July 16, 2011, the FIG will celebrate the 130th anniversary of its foundation in
Liege (BEL) on July 23, 1881. This celebration will take place on the closing day of the 14
th
World Gymnaestrada in Lausanne (SUI).

Canadian gymnast Jamie Lange (trampoline) will compete in the future under the New
Zeeland flag.
ˇ
FIG and the Russian bank VTB have renewed their partnership for one year.
ˇ
On behalf of the Council, the Executive Committee assigned the 44th artistic gymnastics
world gymnastics 2013 to the Belgium federation, city of Antwerp.
ˇ
For health reasons Mr Yan Ling Li (CHN) has resigned with immediate effect from his
position as FIG ACRO TC member. Since the statutory elections will take place next year in
Cancun (MEX), the Executive Committee decided not to nominate a new member.
