SUMMARY OF THE MINUTES

1. Opening
MSA welcomes everyone and declared the meeting open and thank TA for all the logistics and
preparation work for the coming days.
Mr. Koji Takizawa (FIG Vice-President) honoured the GfA Committee by addressing a speech of
welcome to Japan and to the Nittaidai Sport Science University (NSSU) where the meeting took
place.
2. Approval of Agenda
The agenda is approved after some corrections.
3. Approval of Minutes
ˇ Committee meeting August / September 2010
The minutes from the Committee meeting held August / September 2010 are approved with no
remarks.
4. Reports
ˇ Joint meeting UEG, Portimăo POR 10-12 September 2010
MSA presents a report regarding the major issues of this meeting in particular the events and it
schedule were discussed.
ˇ FIG Congress, SVK 27-31 October 2010
MS presents a report regarding the major issues of the FIG Congress held in Vysoké Tatry, SVK.
There were 260 participants from 76 different countries.
It was a very successful congress and very well organised with a professional and supportive
organising team. All the Committee members that attended the congress expressed its recognition
and congratulations to the Slovakian Gymnastics Federation.
ˇ Foundation course Antigua Guatemala GUA, October 2010
RV presents a report regarding the FIG Foundation of Gymnastics Course. The course was held in
Antigua Guatemala, October 17 ­ 23, 2010.
There were 20 participants, representing Argentina (1), Brazil (1), Chile (1), Costa Rica (1),
Guatemala (9), Honduras (1), Mexico (2), Uruguay (2) and Venezuela (2).
The experts for this course were Rogério Valério (POR), FIG Gymnastics for All Committee
Member, Carmen Gomez (MEX), and Frederic Pivotti (BEL). Special thanks to the Guatemala
Gymnastics Federation for hosting this Course.
