World Cup Rules
Both TCs agreed to have 5 E-judges in the panels in order to have consistency with the results the
gymnasts will have at the World Championships and Olympic Games (average of 3 scores),
provided there will be Reference judges.
Also, proposal was made to change the name of "Challenger Cup" to "World Cup Cat. B". This will
allow Federations to obtain more support from the Governments and sponsors, because the
perception is that a World Cup has a higher standard.
The WTC is of the opinion that it would be better to have 8 finalists instead of four for the World
Cup and for the Challenger Cup (Apparatus Competitions) and to have Judges' Panels
composed of 4 or 6 E-Judges (if no reference Judges are present) as stated in the Code of Points.
8. Judges' matters
JEP evaluations (2010 YOG and WCH)
- The WTC President presented to the members the results of the WC'10 JE. The results
were reviewed by the WTC and proposals for rewards and sanctions will be submitted to
the FIG Disciplinary Commission.
International Judges courses
- A judges' course will be organized in Denmark in January 2011. The WTC President
proposed to set a time limit during the cycle for the organization of International Judges'
Courses. This course in DEN may possibly be the last one in this cycle.
- Donatella Sacchi is assigned to run a Judges' Workshop in Qatar. This workshop is simply
meant to refresh some knowledge and not to assign categories.
