· Join the Gymnaestrada courses 2012-2014
Following the World Gymnaestrada 2011 the GfA Committee is preparing some Join the
Gymnaestrada courses in order to have more National Federations with an active participation at
the World Gymnaestrada.
· Foundation course Durban RSA, December 2010
12-17 December, 2010 an FIG Foundation Course will be held in Durban, RSA. The course
experts will be Paulo Barata (POR) and Petrina Hutchison (AUS) assisted by Sipho Maseko (RSA)
and Shirley Tsatsinyane (RSA).
· Foundation courses 2011-2012
From the requests for an FIG Foundation course to be held, some are under preparation for the
coming year. We are still hoping to have more requests and inform the Federations that a Hosting
Guideline can be downloaded from FIG Intranet site.
· Colloquium, "Contest and Competition within Gymnastics for All" Lisbon, POR 9-12
December 2010
The working group for this event (MSA, RV, FK) presents a report from all preparation work
including the meeting held in Portimão (POR) September 2010.
The GfA Committee is very pleased with the high interest and number of participants registered.
So far there are registrations of 44 participants from 31 Federations and we also have one
representative from a Continental Union.
7. Co-operation
The Committee discuss the proposal presented by the UEG GfA Committee President to consider
the possibility of organising a European Gym for Life focused in the youth group age. A first answer
on this request is sent and after the discussions the committee have in this meeting, a more
detailed answer will be given.
· Joint meeting with Continental Unions 2011
A joint meeting between FIG GfA Committee and Continental GfA Committees representative will
be conducted during the WG2011 in Lausanne. An invitation letter will be sent to each Continental
Union.
