Concerns were expressed by the delegates with regard to the late invitations of the scheduled
Academies as well as the timing of the Academy courses in relation to the Acrobatic Gymnastic
calendar.
AUS Federation asked questions regarding the content of the course modules.
BEL: Requested information about the publication of Academy information. (All information
can be found on the FIG website).
In addition, issues related to the recognition of the Academy by national federations were also
discussed.
The General Secretary informed delegates that
Continental Unions receive $ 300,000 from
the FIG and that this can be used for development of all the disciplines. However, 50% of
this money is returned to the FIG unused!
8. Acrobatic Competitions
The General Secretary, André Gueisbuhler suggested that every Federation should try to
organise a competition every 2 years. At this moment only a few countries apply for competitions
(and these are usually countries which have TC members).
He expressed congratulations to everyone concerned for:
1) The 2010 WCH with 25 countries.
2) World games which was a great demonstration of the sport for spectators and the media.
9. Open Forum
The rest of the meeting was chaired by TRC and covered the following areas of discussion:
ˇ Code of Points and Tables of Difficulty
ˇ Identification of issues related to the development of athletes from age group to senior
level competition.
The delegates present were divided into three groups according to language to discuss the topics
and report back to all the delegates. The following comments were made by each group for
consideration by the Technical Committee.

Group 1 (Vitcho, GER):
- Reduce the size of the ToD if possible ­ Action Technical Committee;
- Artistic
Score - Not happy with artistic aspect of the sport re: judging consistency;
- Twisting elements - increase value of twisting elements to stimulate development;
- Issues with tumbling elements landing on one foot and two feet;
