JUDGES MATTERS
A judges analyze was conducted by the MTC at the site, based on competition video review, which
will be followed by the usual post competition video review, and evaluation from each MTC
members.
1852 exercises were presented at all apparatuses during the competition.
For the moment, we do not have any proposals for reward or warning letters.
MTC, during its meeting in February Lausanne will review the complete judges evaluation based
on JEP Fairbrother including PCVR valuation by each TC member.
Despite some minor problems, which did not influenced the final results, I believe the meeting of
the President Grandi with the R judges can represent the most valuable reward or sanction actions
for the future competitions.
REMARKS:
The 42

World Championships in Rotterdam 2010 was the first FIG official competition where the
"Reference Judges" concept were put in work
Judges panels were organized with 2 D Judges, 2 ER Judges and 5 E Judges
During all competition phases there was no judges from the same national federation in all panels
sections (D, ER, E)
CIII and CIV included in the competition juries only neutral judges in D, ER and E sections
Generally very good work of D judges;
Final scores reflected the gymnast's performances;
One inquiry was forwarded to the Superior Jury (0.05%). Inquiry was rejected;
4 D scores were changed during CI due to arithmetical mistakes of D Juries:
o
Subdivision 2 on RG for JPN gymnast Uematsu from 5.9 to 6.0;
o
Subdivision 2 on HB for ESP gymnast San Miguel from 5.5 to 5.6;
o
Subdivision 5 on HB for AUS gymnast Jefferies from 5.1 to 5.2;
o
Subdivision 6 on PB for JOR gymnast Al Asi from 5.3 to 4.4.
Team TPE was penalized with 1 point in CI(no changes in the team ranking) for not
wearing the official BIB numbers, without changes in the team ranking;
1 D score changed in CIV on PH for JPN gymnast Kobayashi from 6.1 to 6.2.
