UB
ˇ The WTC does not consider it necessary to discuss with the MTC the deductions applied for
flight elements, since the nature of the UB versus HB is different.
ˇ To discuss with the MTC:
- Criteria and deduction for empty swing and intermediate swing.
- Recognition of elements (for example the criteria to recognize if the gymnast grasps the bar
prior to a fall).
- Body posture (as per Art. 6)
BB
ˇ The WTC is satisfied with the current criteria to recognize the value of the elements on BB prior
to a fall. As this is not an issue affecting the MAG discipline, further discussion is not
necessary.
FX
ˇ One of the issues on this apparatus relates to the landing deductions.
Competition rules
ˇ As a clarification for the start of the competition, if there is only a small number of gymnasts in
a group (ea. 1 or 2) on VT, BB or FX, they must wait for the gymnasts on the other apparatus
to start the competition simultaneously (except for UB).
ˇ The WTC agreed to propose to the FIG Competition Commission to modify the rotation system
of teams for CIV. Currently, it is difficult for some teams with only 3 gymnasts to finish on one
apparatus and then start immediately on the next.
ˇ To ticket the first session of each day of qualification as two subdivisions, allowing the removal
of the first subdivision of the day in case of a decrease in the number of teams or individuals
ˇ Drawing of lots
After the problems encountered during the World Championships and other events, a different
proposal
needs to be considered for the drawing of lots.
World Cup Rules
- Due to the fact that the OC did not provide proper equipment for the AS work, the WTC
proposes not to include AS in the World Cup competitions.
- The WTC proposes to draw and designate the D judges and the AS for World Cup
competitions.
- If necessary, the host Federation may assign more than one judge in one panel, one
serving as D-judge and the other as E-judge. More than two judges from the host federation
may serve in different judges' panels (i.e. to obtain if necessary the required number of
competitions for the future categorization and to fulfill the empty E judges positions).
- The composition of the Judges' Panels for the World Cups should be discussed with the
Competition Commission (in the 2011 Rules, the E-Panels are composed of 5 judges). As
Reference Judges are not present in World Cup events, the rationale is to remain
consistent in the Rules; therefore there are no reasons to decrease the number of E-
Judges.
