FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE GYMNASTIQUE
While the Organizing Committee provided video recordings, the results were calculated
through their own computer system, including keypads for each judge.
The TV showed delayed highlights of CIII.
World Cup in Osijek Liubov Andrianova
The Competition venue was very good with a capacity of 2'500 persons.
A training hall was available and a large audience, which consisted mostly of school children,
was present during the training and competition days.
Participating Federations: 8
Total number of gymnasts: 28
Only one Judges' Panel was formed and included several very experienced judges.
A Video recording system was available and a DVD will be sent to the TD as soon as possible.
One new element was submitted by CRO for their gymnast on UB. The provisional value
recognized was C- but the element was not performed successfully. The WTC is unwilling to
encourage this type of elements (i.e. as uncharacteristic for UB).
World Cup in Stuttgart Liubov Andrianova
Only 16 judges were registered, so the TD had to serve as AS on 2 panels working
alternatively.
No training/warm up hall was available next to the competition hall and no video recording
system was provided.
The Technical level of the performances was not really good.
There was complains regarding the UB (too rigid).
World Cup in Glasgow Naomi Valenzo
Participating Federations: 13
Total number of gymnasts: 25
This World Cup was the last of the Series and at the end the World Cup Series Champions per
apparatus were awarded a Cup.
The apparatus were supplied by Continental and one complaint was addressed regarding the
mat on UB (the surface was not even).
The number of judges registered was low and only one Panel could be formed (i.e. for Cat. A
World Cups, 6 judges must be part of the E-Panel)
The TD served as AS on all apparatus.
The competition area was small and the judges' panels were placed very close to the
apparatus.
One request was submitted to review the line deduction on FX and the score was adjusted.
Score boards and screen showing all routines were available.
A very good system for the results calculation was provided, together with video recordings
which could be checked immediately. No additional computer was given to the TD/AS to
"approve" the scores.
General Comments
As the low number of judges registered in World Cup events is a recurrent problem, the WTC
would like FIG Competition Commission to study the possibility of increasing the fee of at least
1'000 to be applied to those Federations which do not bring a judge. This amount would be
used to pay the necessary expenses for the OC to invite neutral judges.
