FIG Competition Commission to evaluate the WTC's proposal that in case the OC does not
provide the necessary equipment, then no AS should be assigned.
6. Code of Points
Before their meeting with the MTC, the WTC discussed several topics in order to have common
ideas on the proposals made.
The WTC discussed the suggestions from the UEG WTC.
The WTC will also send a letter to the Continental Unions and the Federations inviting them to
submit their feedbacks and proposals for the next Code of Points.
The FIG WTC discussions regarding the COP'13 were as follows
:
General:
· The
WTC would like to propose that newsletters be published in the official languages and that
the Code of Points be updated once a year, after the World Championships.
· For the "touch warm-up" on VT, the WTC agrees to give 30 seconds per gymnast multiplied by
the number of athletes. It is important to clarify that an attempt will be considered in the
following cases:
- the gymnasts runs on the runway
- the gymnasts approaches and touches the springboard and/or the Table
- the gymnasts performs a vault
- the gymnasts stands on the Table and performs a salto
- If a gymnast runs and while approaching the springboard steps beside the Table, then jumps
onto the table and performs a salto, then only one attempt will be counted since all movements
are performed in the same direction.
*This information to be included in the Help Desk.
· It is important to explain that the purpose of the 30 sec. (50 sec. on UB) "warm-up" before
competition is to "touch" the apparatus and not to have "Training time", therefore it is called
"Touch warm-up".
· A standardized placement for the reference judges to be considered and included in the Code
of Points.
· A Bluetooth system for the communication between the AS and the D-Panel to be envisaged
VT
· Specifications to be made that the D- Panel must announce the recognized vault before the E-
Judges submit their deductions. This will allow the judges to apply the correct deductions for
the vault recognized.
· The D- Panel should continue to check the line deductions (as in the WCh in Rotterdam)
· To ensure better positions for the judges. The difference in the application of the deductions
may be huge, if the judges are to have a closer vision of the vaults due to their proximity with
the apparatus.
· To be consistent with the line deduction applied for both VT and FX.
· Score calculation for C-III: While the rules for CI to remain unchanged, to apply for the CIII
qualification MAG's proposal (average of 2 vaults:sum of 2 DV and sum of 2 E-Scores starting
from 5.00 P)
