To finalize also with World Championships 2010 report, several comments:
I would like to thank first all gymnast in competition who promote with enthusiasm and
dedication our beautiful discipline;
I have had the privilege to participate to the athletes meetings in the presence of Jani
Tanskanen the President of the Athletes Commission, and the representative of the MAG
athlets in the MTC, were I face with many questions submitted by them concerning our
activity. I am confident that the results of our discussions will contribute to a better
development of our sport in future;
Unfortunately we have had several injuries, some of them serious ones, and we are
expecting Medical Commission conclusion in order to try to act in such a way to avoid them
as much as possible in future.
During the 42
nd
World Championships, the MTC did not received any complain concerning
apparatus supplied by Janssen& Fritsen;
Several complains was made for the hard springboard, solved before competition start by
the FIG Janssen & Fritsen decisions;
Excellent support from Longines and IRCOS. Despite a system break down during the
subdivision 10 of CI, difficult, or almost impossible to be predicted, all the team deserve our
thanks and gratitude for the professional way they conduct again their duties;
Excellent organization of the competition, from the beginning to the end. The OC Mr.
Geert Jan Sikkens President, Mr. Hans van der Linden secretary general, Mrs. Anneke
Hoeijenbos and Mr. Ed Deelen responsible with technical affaires, together with all their
team, including the outstanding volunteers, did a great job. Our gratitude goes also toward
Nederland gymnastics Federation, and to our liaison person Robert van Oort for their
friendship, patience, and goodwill to solve all problems we create them...
I am proud to address special thanks for the professional way the Men's Technical
Committee fulfill their duties by assuring as Supervisors together with their Judges panels
an excellent timetable for the competition, taking care in the same time of our primary
aspiration the sport justice.
Particular remarks, and my sincere appreciation, as usual, for the help that MTC, and me
personally received from the FIG technical team at competition site, but also from our
President Bruno Grandi and the Secretary General Andre Gueisbuhler who continuously
supported us during our actions.
