JUDGES MATTERS
Judges analysis was conducted by the MTC on the competition site based on video replay, and
was followed by the usual post competition videos review evaluated by each of the MTC members.
1700 exercises were presented at all apparatuses during competitions I, II, III, and IV.
REMARKS:
The 43
rd
World Championships in Tokyo 2011 was the first FIG official competition after
the introduction of IRCOS where the TCs, including the President, acted as Superior Jury
without being allowed to see any exercises reviews in real time or any scores (including
individual E judges scores) before publication, therefore being at high risk to not be able to
entirely fulfill their duties as stipulated in the Statute, TR, Judges Rules, and Code of
Points.
Generally good work of D judges;
Generally, final scores reflected the gymnast's performances;
A number of 6 inquiries were forwarded to the Superior Jury (0.35%):
To conclude, several comments:
First of all, I would like to thank to all the gymnasts who promote with enthusiasm and
dedication our beautiful discipline;
I have had the pleasure to participate to the athletes' meetings in the presence of Jani
Tanskanen the President of the Athletes Commission, and the representative of the MAG
athletes in the MTC, were I answered questions submitted by them concerning our activity;
During the 43
rd
World Championships, the MTC did not receive any complain concerning
apparatus supplied by SENOH, except for one single remark that the Vaulting Table was
far too rigid comparing with all other manufacturers.
Excellent organization of the competition, from the beginning to the end. The OC and the
Nippon Taiso Kyokai Mr. Hidenori Futagi President, Mr. Morinari Watanabe secretary
general, together with all their team, including the outstanding volunteers, did an
exceptional job. Our gratitude goes also toward our liaison person Yoichi Goto for his
professionalism, friendship, patience, and goodwill to solve all problems and to make
everything perfect.
I am proud to address special thanks to the MTC members for the professional way they
acted during the entire competition. Particular remarks, and my sincere appreciation, as
usual, for the help that MTC, and me personally received from the FIG technical team at the
competition site Nicolas Buonpane, Sylvie Martinet, Rui Vinagre.
