During November 12 -27, 2010 in Guangzhou, CHN took place the 16
th
edition of the Asian
Games, an outstanding multisport competition which includes also Artistic Gymnastics for men and
women.
Artistic Gymnastics competition, held in Asian Games Town Gymnasium starts on November 13
th
,
and end on November 17
th
, including CI & Team Final, CII, and CIII.
Competition I Qualifications & Team Final included the participation of 83 gymnasts from 21
nations, as follows:
o 12 teams CHN, JPN, KOR, KAZ, UZB, VIE, TPE, IRI, THA, IND, KSA, NEP
o Individual gymnasts from QAT, HKG, SRI, YEM, MAS, MGL, IRQ, SIN, LIB.
Per apparatus the following number of gymnasts competed:
FX- 67 gymnasts
PH- 69 gymnasts
RI- 60 gymnasts
VT- 69 gymnasts (26 for CIII)
PB- 66 gymnasts
HB- 61 gymnasts
From the competition resulted also the Team Final ranking, with CHN for Gold, JPN - Silver, and
KOR - Bronze.
Competition II All-around Final took place with the participation of 15 nations:
9 with 2 gymnasts CHN, JPN, KOR, HKG, IRI, QAT, UZB, TPE, THA
6 with 1 gymnast KAZ, VIE, MGL, KSA, IND, MAS
Medal standing for CII CHN for Gold, CHN Silver, and JPN Bronze.
Competition III Apparatus Finals:
FX CHN, KOR and JPN participated with 2 gymnasts each, IND and UZB with one gymnast.
Medal standing - KOR and CHN shared for Gold, IND Bronze.
PH CHN, KOR, UZB participated with 2 gymnasts each, TPE and JPN with one gymnast. Medal
standing CHN for Gold, CHN Silver, TPE Bronze.
RI CHN and JPN participated with 2 gymnasts each, TPE, KOR, KAZ, IRI with one gymnast.
Medal standing CHN for Gold, CHN Silver, TPE Bronze.
VT KOR, CHN, KAZ participated with 2 gymnasts each, HKG and VIE with one gymnast. Medal
standing KOR for Gold, CHN Silver, KAZ Bronze.
PB CHN and JPN participated with 2 gymnasts each, UZB, KAZ, KOR, VIE with one gymnast.
Medal standing CHN for Gold, UZB Silver, KAZ Bronze.
HB CHN, JPN, KAZ, and KOR participated all with 2 gymnasts. Medal standing CHN for Gold,
JPN Silver, CHN Bronze.
