With regard to Olympic disciplines, the elections shall be held during the World Championships on
the year following the Olympic Games with entry into force on January 1
st
of the "intermediary"
year.
With regard to AER and ACRO, the elections shall be held during the World Championships on the
Olympic year with entry into force on January 1
st
the year following the OG. Should it come out
during the statutory elections of the AER and ACRO Technical Committees that a Federation
already has a representative at the Athletes' Commission plus a member elected in the same TC,
the said Federation shall have to decide whether it shall be represented in the Athletes'
Commission or in the TC concerned. Should it decide in favour of the latter, the next athlete
elected shall join the Athletes' Commission.
Transitoriy paragraph:
This text was agreed upon by the EC during its meeting in February 2012. It shall apply to the 2012
AER and ACRO Championships already being understood that the modification agreed by the
2010 Congress cannot apply since there are no AER or ACRO World Championships in the year
following the OG .This change shall of course be submitted to the 2012 Congress for approval.
The rest remains unchanged, except the following paragraph.
The Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Commission shall be elected among and by the six
members during the first meeting of the «intermediary» year.
Art. 27.2. Applications for Events and contractual Responsibilities
To be added after the first paragraph:
The city which shall host the event must be a signatory of the bid stating their support and
approval.
Art. 35.1. Control of international competitions (last §)
The above Unions, Groups and Federations will announce to the FIG the events they will organise
with a 6-month notice
