and the Specific Judges Rules for the cycle 2013-2016. The first draft of all these documents was
ready for the EC meeting in November 2011.
As we want to follow our ideas with the scoring system taking into account the median score of
every single deduction of the ten skills, we build it into the COP provisionally, hoping that the
scoring system providers will have their software and hardware ready for this in 2013.
In March 2012 we made the fine-tuning for all documents to be published on the intranet at a
meeting in Canada and started already with the preparation for the judges courses 2013. The
scheduled meeting in Lausanne, November 2012 will mainly for preparation of the Intercontinental
Judges Course in January 2013.
World Cup Series 2011 concluded on the October 8
th
2011 in Odense, DEN with the last of seven
events this year. As supposed by the TC before, the large number of events in a year with World
Championships caused a draw-back of participating federations in some of the events. The budget
of our member federations were stressed to the limits. We already agreed, together with the
members present at the Symposium, that we will only have a maximum of 6 competitions per year
in the future. The World Cup events, which suffered most, were the ones in China and Japan.
Maybe also the big tragedy of the Tsunami and the nuclear fall-out in Japan added to this, as these
two Cups were planned as back to back events to be done in one journey.
Anyway all organisers did their very best hosting these events and should be congratulated for
their excellent work. Also TV was interested in all events and covered most of the finals
nationwide. Almost all events could be followed with live coverage on the internet.
The different stations of the World Cup were:
Varna, BUL, 16/17 April, St. Petersburg, RUS, 27/28 May, Wuxi, CHN, 1/3 July
Kawasaki, JPN, 8/9 July, Salzgitter, GER, 2/3 September, Jablonec nad Nisou, CZE,
30.9/1.October and Odense, DEN, 7/8 October.
All overall winners were present in Odense at this last World Cup and the Cups could be handed
over by the TC President for each event.
At all events the Time of Flight was part of the execution judging, no problem occurred.
The World Cup Series 2012 already saw 3 events with Taijuan, CHN, Albacete, ESP and Arosa,
SUI.

th
Trampoline World Championships, Birmingham, GBR, November 2011
These World Championships were the first ever held with the new judging criteria, the time of flight.
After some World Cups were already done like that, it ran very smoothly and in my opinion is a
great step to further objectivity in judging.
The OC and the British Gymnastics Federation and the City of Birmingham have to be
congratulated for an outstanding organization and a great show in the National Indoor Arena.
These World Championships will be remembered as one where the main focus was on the athletes
and their show on the field of play. Everything in the organization from the always friendly and
competent volunteers to the high class commentators in the arena and the great audience made
these championships a spectacular event for all who had the pleasure to take part in it and to the
public and media.
With a training hall, a warm up area and the Field of Play the arena fulfilled all needs and more for
these prestigious competitions.
The equipment for TRA, TU and DMT fulfilled all requirements, no complaints from athletes or
coaches.
