Apparatus Commission "Report"
By Mr Atilla ÖRSEL, President Apparatus Commission

The Apparatus Commission continues to work toward improving training and competition
conditions for gymnasts throughout the Gymnastics community.
In order to expedite the process, we organised a meeting with global market manufacturers.
Changes were brought to our control procedures, updates which have made checking during
competition easier and more efficient.
We are working to standardize the trampoline and are in the process of extensive testing.
By the end of this year, a solution will have been found for taller gymnasts with regard to the height
of the horizontal and uneven bars.
Also under scrutiny are rules with regard to the equipment set up by media, especially television,
on and around the apparatus. Norms are being set that will monitor the positioning of this
equipment.
In the near future we will organise meetings with Olympic partners and Technical Committee
Presidents.
We have prepared a list of priorities that will guide the Commission in its work throughout the 2013
 2016 Cycle.
I would like extend my special thanks to President Bruno Grandi for his support and participation.
The professional FIG Staff team, made up notably of André Gueisbuhler, Nicolas Buompane and
Eunice Lebre, has been at our side to facilitate Commission work.
Because of their technical knowledge and expertise, Commission members Nicolae Vieru, Jvan
Weber and our expert Ludwig Schweizer did exceptional work.
My gratitude to the manufacturers who shared their knowledge with us.
With my compliments.
