The 2012 will be a crowded year for AGU with 10 projects in the program of AGU development
project for coaches and judges in different disciplines, the organisation of 2 Asian
Championships: one for junior in March 2012 in Thailand and one for Senior next November in
China, plus the General Assembly in September in Uzbekistan; and without forgetting the
Olympic Games in London which most of Asian Countries are involved and also the elective
FIG General Assembly that we have to prepared to require the presence of AGU
representatives in different commissions.
IV. AGU Championships
12th Junior Artistic and Trampoline Gymnastics Asian Championships
SUPHANBURI Thailand 11-15 March 2012
The 12th Junior Artistic and Trampoline Gymnastics Asian Championships which was
organized in Suphanburi province of Thailand, during the period 11-15 March 2012, was a big
surprise with the great unexpected participation with 20 Countries, with a total of 397
participants took part in this event. This huge number was unexpected, and this has forced the
Organizing Committee to change the location of the competition hall and the hotel two times.
So many of participants demonstrate the interest of Asian countries in promoting the sport of
gymnastics also for youth gymnasts and also the full of confidence to AGU who defied all odds
and proved his intention to raise the level of gymnastics in whole Asia. You can see all the

Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships
The 3rd AER Asian Championships will be held in Palembang, South Sumatera Indonesia
during 17-21 October 2012.
The 5th Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships
The 5
th
ART Asian Championships will be organised in Putian CHINA during 11-14
November 2012
V. AGU Congress 2012:
AGU will organize the ordinary General Assembly in Tashkent Uzbekistan during 24-25
September 2012 contains in its program a Presidential Meeting and Executive Meeting which
the most important point of the Agenda is the update of AGU Statutes even in line of the new
version of FIG Statutes.
VI. AGU Development Project 2012
We start this period to prepare the invitations and directives of the 10 projects in the program
of AGU development project for the year 2012 for coaches and judges in the different
disciplines approved by FIG (here below the program) we hope that we will have more
participants this year.
VII. Proposal of Continental championships to become important
Everybody knows that it is difficult to find organizers for our continental championships, but
also we are surprised that when we organized events, many Federations apologize to
participate to this event which will not realize our future goals to develop the different
gymnastics disciplines in our continental because many other events are most important than
continental events; also the difficulty in financial recourses for the most of federations forces
them to choose the best event for their benefit.
