This report covers the work of the Trampoline Technical Committee between the last Congress in
Visoke Tatry, SVK, October 2010, until June 2012.
27th World Championships in Trampoline Metz, France, November 2010
The "Les Arènes" Sport Complex in Metz was an excellent venue for these World Championships.
With a training hall, a warm up area hall and the Field of Play it fulfilled all needs and more for
these prestigious competition. The competition hall was wonderful decorated and more important
the audience stands were full, even during qualifications.
Transport was excellent. Meals for athletes and officials were provided in the hall and must be
called outstanding French cuisine.
Training schedules covered all needs of coaches and athletes. The competition itself ran smoothly
on schedule.
The big screen in the hall was a great step forward for the information of coaches, athletes, public
and media. Also the slow motions on the second screen were excellent and fulfilled the needs for
the public in the hall, especially during TV coverage where the scores were held back to show after
slow motions.
Again we had a tie for medal places, this time for the Gold and Silver in men's´ Trampoline and in
addition the placed 5 to 7 in this Final. The analysis showed that with the time of flight, which was
tested again during the whole competition, all ties could have been avoided. The testing results of
the qualification rounds were given to all federations after conclusion of the Trampoline Individual
events. Even the analysis of each skill was listed.
As mentioned before, even during qualification rounds the hall was almost full and really packed
with audience during finals.
The France Gymnastics Federation, and the Organising Committee, including all the wonderful
volunteers have to be congratulated for their efforts which made these 27
th
Trampoline Word
Championships a great success.
TC Meetings:
We were lucky that we had scheduled our TC meetings in 2011 during May in Prague, CZE before
the Symposium and for August in Kiev, UKR so we could prepare for the Symposium and later
working on the proposals from the Symposium to build into the COP and Technical Regulations
