The finals were carried live. In addition, with the help of USA Gymnastics, the FIG produced clips
for YouTube as well as three qualification highlight broadcasts. The number of hits totaled almost
400,000 by the middle of May, and was growing daily.
Much appreciation must be expressed to USA Gymnastics for their expert organization in one of
the most visited tourist spots of the entire world, the Walt Disney Complex. The event staff of
USAG, together with all of the volunteers, produced a very special event. The memories will last a
lifetime.
In Conclusion:
The 2009 2012 cycle has been a time of change for Acrobatic Gymnastics. Change is always
difficult. But with challenge comes opportunity. And Acrobatic Gymnastics has taken full
advantage of the opportunity to work in new directions and to focus on development of the
discipline. Congratulations to my ACRO TC Colleagues for their vision, willingness to make
change, and for their hard work over the last four years. There is a new collaboration within the
family of Acrobatic Gymnastics. Federations understand that they must share in the responsibility
for the future of the discipline. The results speak for themselves. Acrobatic Gymnastics is alive
and growing, and the future is exciting!
Respectfully submitted, on behalf of the Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee,
