Assessment of the Judging
This evaluation led to the following outcome:
- Based on the JE of CI (individual Judges' scores were compared to the Final E-Scores)
verbal warnings were issued to some judges.
Shortly after C-I, the WTC carried-out a video evaluation of the selected exercises (80
exercises on each apparatus): All exercises (100%) from C-IV, C-II and C-III were evaluated by
the WTC.
Ircos Video System
Following the decision of the FIG EC the TCs and D-Panels were not allowed to use IRCOS in
case of doubts or disagreements.
Prior to the first competition's day there were many discussions, clarifications regarding this
new decision.
After each competition's phase the video recordings were promptly delivered to the WTC for
the exercise analysis.
The WTC members are very thankful to the "IRCOS" team for their help and support.
The "Spider camera" was very useful to show the best view of the gymnasts for the public and
for the judges. I wish the WTC could receive copies of those good quality video records for the
judges' evaluation.
However, it should not disturb the gymnasts' performance.
Longines
The WTC appreciated Longines' team efforts to help the TCs run the competitions the best
way possible. Unfortunately, on the score pad the numbers and "OK" button
are
very close to
each other. Therefore, the judges, including ASs, made many score entry errors (17 errors).
Apparatus:
The apparatus supplied by Senoh fully met the specifications and were safely installed and well
maintained throughout the competition.
There were no problems with the equipment and the gymnasts liked the apparatus a lot.
One recommendation was to raise and to low the UB faster.
The WTC would like to express their gratitude to the Senoh technical team for their constant
availability and help.
